The reason for separation into pre and main amp is logical, since sensitive preamplifier circuits remain unaffected by the electromagnetic influence of the high voltage amplifier power supplies. The pre-amping conditions for high levels of clarity are therefore better than found in a built-in (integrated) amplifier. Even preamps are available in all technical circuit variants: valve, transistor or digital. But without a connected amplifier a preamplifier is useless – unless one uses active speakers as they are provided with built-in amplifiers…

To all English speaking friends of LowBeats

Thanks for visiting LowBeats Magazin. At present it is an all German language site, with just the odd feature and review in English. We are working hard to present much more content in English and aim eventually to have a full dual language magazine for our readers. In the meantime please bear with us whilst we work to achieve this.  It will be worth the wait!
